Managed USB Hub USB Hub Administrator software must be installed on the host computer, enabling users to remotely control access to peripherals and manage operational features. With this software, users can: - Enable or disable individual or all USB Hub ports. - Restart the USB Hub. - Set a password to restrict unauthorized access. - Save port states for quick configuration in specific applications. - Use command line commands (CLI) for command line operations or custom application development. The software is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux, making it versatile on different platforms. It supports an unlimited number of managed USB Hubs, enabling users to connect multiple Hubs to a single host computer, or cascade them in sequence. Robust and reliable The Industrial USB Hub features a robust metal housing designed to protect the hub from potential damage caused by accidental drops or sudden shocks. What's more, it offers protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 15 kV in air and 8 kV in contact, in compliance with ESD protection level 4. This robust construction guarantees resilience in demanding industrial environments, offering peace of mind to users in situations where durability and reliability are essential. Flexible power supply The USB Hub offers power supply flexibility to meet the diverse needs of users. It features a terminal block power input that supports a wide voltage range from +7 to 48 volts DC, ensuring compatibility with a variety of power sources. With an external power source connected, the USB Hub supports the USB 1.2 battery charging specification, delivering up to 1.5 A (7.5 W) on 3 of the downstream ports, enabling you to quickly power and charge external devices. For optimum performance, an external power source is required. StarTech.com offers an external power adapter (Part number: ITB20D3250, sold separately) that will enable the USB Hub to operate at full power. Mounting options The USB Hub is thoughtfully designed for user convenience and adaptability. Equipped with integrated mounting brackets, installation is simplified.
