A warranty extension can be bought at any time up to six months from purchase for new products or within thirty days for refurbished notebooks and desktop PCs.¦The warranty extension will become active when the manufacturers or suppliers warranty finishes at the end of the first, second or third year. Warranty extensions are available for a further one, two, three or four years to provide total cover for a maximum of five years. So for example an item coming with a one year manufacturers warranty a +2 year warranty extension will mean that you have cover for a total of three years.¦Or as another example for an item coming with a three year manufacturer warranty a +1 year warranty extension will mean that you have cover for a total of four years.
